Giveaway: Drink Chia Ends 8/9
I haven't tried Drink Chia, but having worked in a vitamin store I do understand the benefits of Omega-3. So I'd be interested in trying this. Plus there's some swag for you too :-) Disclaimer: Just Jennifer Talking has not tried this product, the review below does not represent my opinion. Good Luck :-)
This Giveaway is done by SaraLee's Deals Steals & Giveaways
We are guided by the relentless focus to inspire people to be engaged in their health, try new things, seek adventure, and be active in their communities.
Everything begins with our “Shake it Baby” concept. It implies two things:
1. To shake the drink up, and
2. To get out and make things happen, to do
something productive and meaningful, to make a difference.
We don’t want the seeds to settle in the bottle…settling implies going nowhere, being complacent. So…
Be active, be mindful of your health, your family, and the world around you!
I want to say my husband was very surprised over the Drink Chia. At fist my husband crinkled his nose up and was like oh boy this isn't going to taste good but as soon as he took a sip he smiled and was said "Wow this is really good." My husband drank the bottle before work and called me on his first break saying that he felt really good and liked the way the Chia drink made him feel. On the forth day of drinking Chia he was in a better mood at work and he felt a little more energized in the morning. Now this week he is grumpy and you can tell so I went and ordered more for him. I wish they sold this in health stores buy me.
Now for the giveaway: One lucky person will win a Drink Chia Prize pack ( 1 of bottle of each flavor & a T-shirt). This is open to US & World Wide and ends 8/09/12 @ 11:59 pm est. To enter,
simply do the tasks on

Review: The Woman in Black
About the Movie
Rated: PG-13
Starring: Daniel Radcliffe & Ciarán Hinds
Running Time: 95 minuets
Dispatched by his boss to an isolated seaside village to tie up a recently deceased client's affairs, a young London lawyer finds himself in a community grappling with dark secrets -- and a haunting presence with a sinister agenda.
My Review
Rating: 4 stars
My fear with this one is that Daniel Radcliffe wouldn't be able to convince me he wasn't Harry Potter. How wrong I was! The character he plays is such a departure from Harry Potter that I didn't even think about it after the first 10 minuets or so. I also have to say that Mr. Radcliffe is such a great actor. I never really paid much attention to the acting in Harry Potter - that wasn't what I watched those movies for anyway... But I think Radcliffe has really proven that he's a great actor with this one.
This is one of the better "horror" movies that I've seen in a while. It used sound and light to create suspense, while the story was being built up. There were quite a few "jumpy" moments, which even though I was expecting them got me. My dog even woke up with a start twice.
The story was pretty good. A young man must go to a village where he's unwelcome and while there he uncovers their secret. As he's putting the pieces of the puzzle together children in the village start dying. The young lawyer is trying to figure how all this connects together while he accepts the hospitality of one of the wealthy families in the village. The wife appears to be a bit crazy, but she does help put some fire into plot.
The only reason this did not receive a 5 star rating was the ending. It wasn't a horrible ending, but I was expecting something different. After the puzzle is "figured out" I thought that would be the end. But the ending is much more sinister than I would have imagined.
I would have to say despite the PG-13 rating that it shouldn't be watched by younger kids. I think I would have to say 15 or 16 rather than 13 as the appropriate age limit. There's some graphic scenes, although they aren't necessarily violent they are disturbing none the less. There's not much in the way of strong language, I honestly don't remember any but it could have just slipped my mind.
If you are interested in purchasing The Woman in Black please check it out in my Amazon Store.

Want to earn free stuff by watching TV?
Want to earn free stuff simply by watching TV? Have you heard of Viggle?
Using your smart phone you can check into the TV shows you are watching to earn points. Then you can trade these points in for gift certificates and other rewards. They have the usual fare - Best Buy GC, Amazon GC, etc. But they also have rewards like a Kindle, MacBook Air, even a Royal Caribbean Cruise! And you get points regardless of what program you are watching. I get points everyday for watching the news!
Plus, everyday there are special shows that when you check in you can earn bonus points for them. These bonus shows can be found in the app or on the Viggle blog. You don't have to watch all the shows right then either. Say for example you watch Weeds on Sunday nights like I do. At 10:00 tonight there are 4 different bonus point shows on, but Weeds is not one of them. I'm going to record two of the shows and watch them after Weeds goes off. I still get my bonus points, and I get to watch Weeds :-) For most shows you have up to 24 hours to watch the recording. I haven't tried checking in to a re-air of a show, so don't know if you get the bonus points for that or not. But I love that you can record and watch later.
I've been a Viggle member for just a few days now and already have enough points for quite a few different rewards. I'm going to be good though (maybe) and save up for the Kindle! I was at first worried about my phone picking up the signal, so I was sitting my phone as close to the speakers as I could get it. But after a few failed attempts at logging in I tried it from my couch, and now it works every time! Although if you still have trouble checking in you can manually check in.
Overall it's pretty simple to use. It doesn't take a long time to check-in to a show. And if you want some shows have trivia questions that you can answer while watching your shows - earn even more points! Plus you can share your check in on Twitter and Facebook for even more points. It's so easy to earn points with this app, I LOVE it! And you can do it anywhere. I was at the coffee shop last night and got points for watching the news at the coffee shop.
The app is free and works great with my Android phone. I haven't had any issues although I do get a message that my proccessor on my phone might hinder the performance of the app. But so far no problems and I can't wait to turn my points in for something awesome! So why don't you come join me - Sign up and download the free app here.

Yeah, I'm a Night Owl... That just means I'm more intelligent?
So I'm very much a night person. I have been my whole life. I used to "go to bed" at my appointed bed time then lay awake reading a book or staring at all the posters I had plastered to my walls. It wasn't uncommon for me to stay awake till 10 or 11 - and at 10 years old that was a big deal. On the weekends, vacations, and summer breaks my sisters and I would have a "contest" to see who could stay awake. Which brings up some great memories.... Watching Buns of Steel at 4 o'clock in the morning on 3x speed and laughing so hard I thought I was going to pee my pants! Acting like we were asleep when Dad got ready for work at 6 and then turning the TV back on after he left... We had some great times! Even now - when I lost my job a few years ago I quickly sucumbed to my night owl ways. It didn't take long for me to get into the habit of staying awake until 5 or 6 and sleeping till 1 or 2 in the afternoon. I can get up and be productive when the need arises, but for my lifestyle right now I have a little luxury in the sleep/wake time cycle. And I choose to embrace my night owl side.
Do I feel as though I'm missing out on anything? Not really. I actually feel as if I'm catching a lot more. My house is usually quiet around 12 so that gives me quite a few hours to read, do homework, catch up on movies, work on my blog, etc. Things that I would get distracted from if I were doing them while everyone in the house was awake. It's just how I prefer it.
I came across an article today that says that night owls might actually be more intelligent than their early bird counterparts. Why Night Owls are More Intelligent than Morning Larks. I tried to find more on the actual study that was conducted, but as of yet haven't been able to find anything. But the bit of information provided at the end of the article does seem to support their hypothesis.
It makes me wonder why this is. The night activities mentioned focus around creativity. Is there a link between when the mind becomes creative and the hours a person has been awake? I know for me that seems to be true. Most of my blog ideas "hit" me at night. I also tend to do a lot of soul searching at night. So for me I think my brain needs time to "kick in" for me to reach my peak in creativity.
No matter what the link I think there may be something to this theory. I'm going to keep researching it and if I find some more information I'll pass it along. But in the mean time I want to know are you a night owl or a morning person, and when do you feel your brain is at it's best on a normal day?
